About the role

About the role

We're looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to design, build, and operate the backend services that power Temus's enterprise products. You'll work in a cross-functional squad alongside product, design, and DevOps, shipping features end-to-end — from API design to production observability.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices in C# / .NET 8 / ASP.NET Core.
  • Model and optimize data with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server (query tuning, migrations, indexing).
  • Build for the cloud on Azure (App Service / Container Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Application Insights).
  • Own quality: unit/integration tests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve reliability and performance — profiling, caching, async patterns, and resilient integrations.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to architecture and technical direction.

Our stack

Requirements

Requirements

Must-have

  • 6+ years building production backend systems, with 4+ years in C# / .NET.
  • Strong with ASP.NET Core web APIs, dependency injection, and async/await.
  • Solid relational database skills — SQL Server (or PostgreSQL), EF Core, schema design, query optimization.
  • Experience designing and operating microservices and message-driven systems.
  • Hands-on with a major cloud — Azure preferred (or AWS/GCP).
  • Disciplined about testing (xUnit/NUnit), code review, and CI/CD.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable mentoring.

Nice-to-have

  • Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / Azure Container Apps).
  • Event streaming (Azure Service Bus, Kafka) and CQRS/event-sourcing.
  • Observability (OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Grafana).
  • gRPC, GraphQL, or minimal APIs; performance profiling.
  • Exposure to front-end (Blazor / React) or infrastructure-as-code (Bicep / Terraform).
